BOOK 1
Alex Banayan compares success in life and business to a nightclub. There's always the first door where most just hopefully wait. The second door opens for the VIPs. The Third Door is the alternative for the hustlers, those who are willing to think outside the box to find a way in. In The Third Door, Alex Banayan carries out his mission to uncover how some of the most successful people championed their lives and industries. While this book appears to read more like a novel, it is more of a memoir of his journey.
Early in the book, Banayan mentions that he attended the University of Southern California who is lost, pursuing to achieve the expectations of his parents. These characteristics resonate with me and I look forward to learning about his process of carving his own path. After reading the first two chapters and learning how he "hacked 'The Price Is Right'," I am already hooked. I'm inspired and eager to learn more about his quest and the anecdotes of the inspirational individuals he confronts such as Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.
